Working with a medium-sized construction company based in Kildare, which has a requirement for a Finance Manager to spearhead their financial strategy. As they continue to win major infrastructure contracts across Ireland and the UK, the FD will be responsible for evolving our finance function into a high-performance department that provides real-time insights to our operational teams. Other responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership: Act as a key business partner to the CEO/CFO and Board, influencing long-term strategy and international expansion.
Financial Operations: Oversee the full finance suite, including statutory accounts, tax compliance (VAT, RCT, and Corporation Tax), and multi-entity consolidations.
Commercial Insight: Work closely with the Project Management and Engineering teams to monitor project profitability, labor cost reporting, and contract margins.
Risk & Treasury: Manage group cash flow, banking relationships, and credit facilities to support large-scale infrastructure capital expenditure.
Requirements
Qualification: Fully qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with 3+ years of post-qualification experience.
Industry Experience: Prior experience in Engineering, Construction, or Utilities is highly desirable (understanding of RCT and long-term contract accounting).
Leadership: Proven track record of managing and mentoring a finance team.
Tech Savvy: Strong expertise in Excel and modern financial reporting tools.
