The Maintenance Technician role involves providing technical support for plant facilities and services.
* Plant and equipment maintenance is essential to ensure optimum performance and compliance with contractual requirements.
* Equipment calibration and testing should be done according to CMMS, vendor recommendations, or contractual specifications.
* Planned mechanical and electrical maintenance must be completed as required, recording completion in the CMMS.
* Maintenance tasks must be completed on time and safely by liaising with sub-contractors.
* Plant/equipment failures require prompt response, repair or replacement as necessary, and recording completion in the CMMS.
* Complex problems involving mechanical, process, electrical issues need to be solved and troubleshooted using good working principles.
* Identify and manage spares required to ensure reliable operation of plant equipment.
* Manage permit to work systems, including general work permits, LOTO, hot works permits, etc.
* Use remote monitoring tools like BMS to verify plant condition.
* Hold a qualification in Mechanical.
* Qualification in instrumentation an advantage.
* Previous experience in facility maintenance environment beneficial.
* Ability to read electrical and hydraulic/pneumatic drawings advantageous.
* Some knowledge of maintenance and experience supporting high-volume manufacturing environments valuable.
* Previous experience working on technically challenging applications beneficial.
