Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for full-time fixed-term contract position(s) of 2 years as a Research Assistant/Core Lab Non-Invasive Imaging Analyst at the University of Galway, Ireland.
This position is funded by CORRIB and is available immediately for a duration of 2 years.
The position may be extended with additional funding availability.
Hybrid working arrangements may be considered after 6 months for this position as per University Policy.
The Core Lab Non-Invasive Imaging Analyst is in charge of organising the handling, assignment, screening and analysis of non-invasive cardiac investigations related to the clinical research activities of the CORRIB Core Lab, University of Galway.
This research post will have a line of reporting into the Medical Director of the CORRIB Core Lab.
Salary: Research Assistant salary scale €33,291 - €43,372 per annum, (subject to the project's funding limitations), and pro rata for shorter and/or part-time contracts.
The default position for all new public sector appointments is the 1st point of the salary scale.
This may be reviewed, and consideration afforded to appointment at a higher point on the payscale (subject to the project's funding limitations), where evidence of prior years' equivalent experience is accepted in determining placement on the scale above point 1, subject to the maximum of the scale.(Research Salary Scales - University of Galway)Closing date for receipt of applications is 17:00 (Irish Time) on 19th February 2026.
