Helpdesk Support Engineer – Financial Services
Location: Dublin city centre, 4 days onsite.

A leading financial services firm is seeking an enthusiastic and organised Helpdesk Support Engineer to join their IT team.
You will play a central role in day-to-day IT operations. You'll provided technical support, troubleshooting issues, and helping to drive improvements in infrastructure and processes. This role offers hands-on exposure to systems monitoring, cybersecurity, and cloud services, with strong opportunities for professional growth.
What you’ll be doing:

Delivering first-line IT support across the organisation
*
Managing and resolving technical queries in a timely, customer-focused manner
*
Working with best-in-class tools and exploring emerging technologies
*
Supporting IT security initiatives, including endpoint protection and patch management
*
Assisting with disaster recovery and backup monitoring
*
Documenting IT processes and contributing to an internal knowledge base
What we’re looking for:
*
1–2 years’ experience in an IT Helpdesk or similar technical support role
*
Third-level qualification in an IT-related discipline
*
Good working knowledge of Windows environments, Microsoft 365, and network monitoring tools
*
Strong organisational, interpersonal, and communication skills
*
Ability to juggle multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail
*
A proactive, problem-solving mindset with a passion for technology
Nice to have:
*
Experience in endpoint protection, backup monitoring, and firewall administration
*
Exposure to disaster recovery planning and cybersecurity practices
*
Interest in cloud technologies (AWS or Microsoft certifications a plus)
