We are looking for a Practice Nurse to join our well established team at the Fethard Medical Centre, Co. Tipperary. We are in the process of relocating to a brand new Primary Care Centre in Fethard
We are an accredited practice with a full time GP principle, a Practice Manager and an excellent administration and reception team.
We are fully computerised with the Health One Management System.
Duties will include but are not limited to:
· Phlebotomy
· Cervical Screening
· Immunisations including childhood Immunisations, seasonal & travel vaccines
· Cardiology (ECG, Blood pressure monitor)
· Ear Syringing
· Wound Management
· Results Management
· Co-ordinating and providing CDM (Chronic Disease Management) clinics.
· Managing and ordering of clinical equipment, stock and medication.
The candidate should be comfortable providing basic Nursing Gynecological care and be able to make this care a positive experience for the patients.
Managing Nursing Female Health and Menopause Care will be an advantage.
The right candidate should be a registered General Nurse with An Bord Altranais, be enthusiastic, empathetic and professional, a good communicator who enjoys working as part of a team, have strong computer skills and have a flexible approach to work.

This is a permanent part time position. A part time temporary contract will also be considered in the interim.
The minimum requirement is 8 hours per week but preference will be given to candidates who could provide up to 24 hours per week.
The clinic is not registered as a Nurse Prescribing clinic, but if the applicant is registered as a Nurse Prescriber and facilitates the clinic to become a Nurse Prescribing Clinic, then there will be enough work for a full time position.
