Retail Development ManagerKildare town, IE, R51 R265Full TimeAbout the roleAs our Retail Development Manager, you are responsible for all matters related to shop-fit and store opening in the Village. You will be working closely with Brands and across the business on a wide range of activities including shop-fit orientation, communications with Brands on compliance, information collection and plans, communications with internal teams, manage external parties and manage concurrent projects.Key responsibilitiesThe key responsibilities of this role will include some or all the following.Coordinate fit-out process for new openings and re-merchandising/re-fit programmes for existing storesCoordinate Brand inductions and briefings related to shop-fits.Liaise with the Commercialisation and/or Leasing Teams, Retail, Operations and Legal Departments on all shop-fit related issuesDevelop sketch schemes for brands to be approved, procured and project managed on site from inception to completionEnsure that proper and complete information is issued by Brands to Value Retail for approval of plans, samples etc.Follow-up snagging with Brands at completion of each project and ensure they submit all relevant post-completion documents on timeCoordinate temporary fit-outs for existing Brands or tenants on temporary leasesSchedule all Brand visits in coordination with other departmentsPrepare time and cost estimates for each projectMonitor shop-fit quality to achieve standards of excellence; conduct construction site supervisionEnsure that internal works are executed by Brands in accordance with Value Retail internal regulations and local government regulationsEnsure that Brands comply with statutory requests from Value Retail and local authorities on warranties, insurance, permits, and local fire regulationsFacilitate effective communication systems with all contractors, project managers, and maintenance suppliers and monitor progress of works on-site to ensure work schedule is adhered toManage flow of information between local departments and external consultants, including appointments, plan submissions, timing, and billingManage local blueprint projects and local special projectsDevise new systems and procedures for the shop-fit process and improve those already existingAttend weekly conference calls and meetings with other TeamsAddress all administrative issues related to Retail Development and compile related documentationPrepare photomontages and architectural plan sketches for internal case studiesAbout YouWe are looking for an individual who can display the following experience and skills:Degree education or relevant qualification is preferrableProven experience as a surveyor or construction project management, a Qualified Architect would be beneficialComputer literate and high proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD, Photoshop and 3D visualisation software (SketchUp or alternative)Proven track record on leading store openings processStrong project management capability and ability to manage several projects concurrentlyAbility to prioritise your work to meet tight and multiple deadlines with an eye for detailAble to work well with all levels across the business and customers with a creative and open minded capability to adapt to a fast pace environmentA problem-solver who can proactively identify problems and make recommendationsA good communicatorExceptional negotiation skills and be discreet on communicationAbility to review and present policy documentsExposure to European / international companiesFluent in English and local Village language, any other European language would be beneficial
