Overview
AllPets Veterinary Hospital, Drogheda, is hiring a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their experienced nursing team. This 100% Small Animal hospital focuses on quality care for clients and patients, with a strong emphasis on staff well-being and professional development. The role is a Specific Purpose Contract to cover Maternity Leave (minimum 12 months) with a flexible start date (October/November 2025).
Base pay range
Salary up to €35,000 DOE, commensurate with experience.
Responsibilities
* Full-time, position based in All Pets Drogheda
* Responsible for nursing consults, surgical and theatre nursing, inpatient care, pharmacy management, client care and advice, laboratory work and more
* Utilise the skills you have been trained to perform to help shape the future of veterinary care
Requirements
* Registered with the Veterinary Council of Ireland
* Ideal candidate would have 1-2 years of Small Animal practice experience; new graduates will be considered
* Demonstrate exceptional organization and communication skills
* Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
* Ability to work independently as well as within a cohesive team
* Always strive for a high standard of care for patients
Schedule and benefits
* Full-time, 37.5 hours per week (5 days)
* Weekend rota is 1 in 6 with no overnight work

About the practice
All Pets Veterinary Hospital is a 100% Small Animal Hospital located in Drogheda, Co Louth. We are ISFM Gold Certified and provide access to advanced services including orthopaedics, ultrasonography and echocardiography. Our facilities include digital x-ray, dental x-ray, ultrasound, in-house blood analyzers, separate dog/cat waiting areas and consultation rooms, plus a private family room. We emphasise staff well-being and ongoing professional development with fully funded postgraduate certificates. The team comprises 7 veterinarians, 8 veterinary nurses, and additional support staff.
