# **CAPEX Engineering Manager***Lead a multimillion annual capital investment portfolio across site engineering and infrastructure projects.
*## **Key Responsibilities**## **Capital Project Strategy & Portfolio Management*** Lead the development and execution of a **multimillion** **annual capital investment portfolio**, including new builds, equipment upgrades, and infrastructure improvements.
* Ensure alignment with site strategy and long-range and annual business plans.
* Prepare robust project proposals, including cost estimates, timelines, and resource requirements.
* Monitor capital expenditure and financial performance, ensuring delivery within approved budgets.
* Own and maintain the site Facility Investment Plan, ensuring accuracy and strategic alignment.
### ## **Governance & Compliance*** Lead site capital governance forums, including monthly reviews and project approval boards.
* Ensure all projects comply with company capital management standards and are accurately tracked in project systems.
* Act as **Site Duty Holder for construction activities**, ensuring full compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
* Ensure adherence to financial, engineering, and audit standards, including GMP and business system audits.
* Own capital controls and lead the annual asset verification process.
## **Project Delivery & Leadership*** Lead end-to-end delivery of capital projects from concept through to completion.
* Manage cross-functional teams, including engineers, contractors, and external partners.
* Ensure all projects meet safety, quality, cost, and timeline KPIs.
* Conduct regular on-site reviews to ensure effective controls and safe project execution.
## **Contractor & Vendor Management*** Select, negotiate, and manage contracts with suppliers and construction partners.
* Ensure all third-party work meets required safety and quality standards.
* Oversee the Permit to Work (PTW) system across capital projects.
* Lead contractor forums to drive performance, compliance, and continuous improvement.
## **Stakeholder Management & Communication*** Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders across engineering, operations, and finance.
* Provide clear and regular reporting on project performance, risks, and delivery status.
* Support decision-making through data-driven insights.
## **Continuous Improvement & Capability Development*** Identify and implement improvements in capital project delivery processes.
* Promote best practices in project management and engineering standards.
* Develop capability across the engineering team through coaching and training.
### ## **Capability Building & Training*** Develop and strengthen project delivery capability across the engineering function.
* Coach and mentor project engineers and managers to enhance performance and delivery standards.
* Drive understanding and adoption of capital management processes across the site.
* Promote a culture of continuous learning, best practice sharing, and high-performance project delivery.
## **Stewardship & Compliance*** Ensure full adherence to financial, HR, and engineering policies across all capital activities.
* Maintain compliance with all regulatory and internal audit requirements, including GMP and business system audits.
* Own and drive the site capital controls framework, ensuring robust governance and consistency.
* Lead the **annual asset verification process**, ensuring all assets are accurately recorded and aligned with financial policies.
* Partner closely with Finance to ensure all project controls, including asset tagging and financial close-out, are completed accurately and on time.
