Head of Risk and Controls – WealthManagementAtop tier wealth management institution is looking to hire a Head of Risk andControls toredevelop the control framework within the Private Client business and ensure arobust control environment with effective oversight embedded in the department.Roleresponsibilities will include:· Design and implement apractical and robust first line of defence control framework in conjunctionwith Group Risk and conduct assurance reviews to assess the control frameworks· Embed controls in asustainable way which allows control and compliance to be an enabler forbusiness performance rather than a resource drain· Identify key risks andcontrols and document for all significant processes across the Advice,Financial Planning and Investment teams. Continually monitor changes in riskexposures and amend and enhance controls accordingly· Leverage technologysolutions such as GRC tools & Data Analytics to support the business· Drive change and havean appetite to bring in new and improved processes, implemented whereverpossible across the department
Requirements· An ambitious anddriven Risk professional with excellent communication skills· Relevant professionalqualifications· Experience inRegulated Financial Service environment in Ireland or abroad· A minimum of 10 yearsof experience in a senior risk or business role preferably with some of thisexperience in a Wealth Management setting· Track record ofengaging with and influencing senior stakeholders· An understanding ofleading -edge quality reporting control, assurance and risk management policiesand procedures
