We're hiring a Manufacturing Manager to lead our production operations and drive quality, efficiency, and delivery across all jobs.
The Role
You'll run day-to-day fabrication, manage 20–30 staff, and work closely with the Operations Manager. You'll be responsible for planning, execution, quality, and ensuring EN1090 compliance across all outputs.
Core Responsibilities
* Manage the production programme and daily rota
* Oversee fabrication progress and maintain floor-level visibility
* Coordinate materials and prep site requirements (bolts, fixings, access gear)
* Ensure correct storage, packaging, and movement of raw and finished goods
* Conduct quality checks and enforce EN1090 compliance
* Review and file blue sheets and fabrication drawings
* Support design handovers and finalise job packages
* Communicate with site teams and resolve production issues as they arise
* Maintain basic staff welfare facilities
* Drive process improvements through LEAN practices
* Report regularly to management on progress and performance
What You'll Need
* 5+ years in a manufacturing role (steel fabrication preferred)
* Degree in Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering
* Strong understanding of MRP systems and job planning
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings confidently
* Practical leadership and clear communication skills
* Proficiency in AutoCAD, Excel, and Google Workspace tools
