Job Title: Senior Test Manager
Location: Dublin (Hybrid)
Contract: Initial 6-Month Contract
Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced Test Manager to join our leading banking client, based in Dublin, on an initial 6-month contract. This is a senior role requiring extensive experience managing complex testing initiatives within the banking sector.
The ideal candidate will bring strong banking knowledge and a deep understanding of banking systems and processes. You will be responsible for defining and driving the test strategy, ensuring quality across multiple workstreams, and managing teams in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Define and implement the overall test strategy, test plans, and approach for large-scale banking projects.
2. Manage end-to-end testing across multiple systems and integrations.
3. Oversee test execution, defect management, and quality assurance reporting.
4. Lead and mentor onshore and offshore test teams.
5. Collaborate closely with business, development, and project teams to ensure delivery alignment.
6. Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal quality standards.
7. Provide regular updates to senior stakeholders and project governance forums.
8. Drive continuous improvement in test processes, automation, and quality management practices.
Key Skills & Experience:
9. 15+ years of testing experience, including significant time as a Test Manager in the banking or financial services sector.
10. Strong understanding of payments (e.g., SEPA, SWIFT, ISO20022, domestic payments).
11. Proven track record of delivering testing on complex, multi-system banking programmes.
12. Hands-on experience with test planning, execution, and defect management tools (e.g., JIRA, HP ALM, Zephyr).
13. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence at senior levels.
14. Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities.
15. Experience with agile and waterfall delivery models.
