About the Role:
The Assistant Director of Nursing will play a key part in delivering exceptional care to residents. In the absence of the Director of Nursing, this role undertakes responsibilities as Person-in-Charge, ensuring adherence to Health Act 2007, regulations, and HIQA standards.

Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain high standards of hygiene and food safety across the nursing home.
* Liaise with senior managers to ensure delivery of housekeeping standards, quality, choice, maintenance, and administration efficiency.
* Participate in clinical management, providing care, communicating with residents/families/representatives, managing staff, monitoring performance, developing policies, and delivering training.
* Coordinate quality and safety systems, including clinical risk management and resident involvement.
Priorities:
1. Lead by example, demonstrating professionalism, punctuality, and dedication to team members.
2. Collaborate with HR on grievances and disciplinary activities.
3. Develop policies and standards that enhance the nursing home's reputation.
Requirements:
This role requires 3 years of post-registration experience in a nursing home environment within the last 6 years.
