Job Description:
The Electrical Systems Specialist is responsible for maintaining, repairing and troubleshooting electrical systems on our fleet of state-of-the-art ships. This involves ensuring operational readiness by maintaining essential electrical infrastructure, including power generation and distribution.
You will troubleshoot and diagnose faults in electrical circuits, control systems and automated machinery. Routine inspections, preventative maintenance and system testing are also crucial to ensure operational efficiency.
In emergency response situations and exercises, you will assist with fire-fighting and damage control duties.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* A citizen of the Irish State or have a legal entitlement to reside and work in the State for the period of any such appointment
* Be of good character and satisfy any security clearance required during the recruitment process
* Meet the required minimum standards of medical and physical fitness as assessed during the recruitment process
* Age: 18 Years of age and under 39 years of age on date of application
Benefits:
A competitive basic salary of €49 per annum with yearly increments. Naval Service personnel receive an additional approximately €20 per annum. Additional allowances for overseas service are not included.
Recruitment Process:
Candidates will be invited to complete a fitness test and attend a competency-based interview where they will be required to draw from their relevant experience. Candidates who successfully pass the fitness test and competency-based interview will be required to complete a medical assessment and go through a Garda Vetting process.
