Remarkable people, trusted by clients to design and advance the worldWood is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer with geotechnical engineering consultancy experience to join our team in Galway, Ireland.This position will be a full-time permanent role with hybrid working available.LI-HybridThe RoleYou will be involved in the planning and design of Marine Terminal and Renewable Energy infrastructure around the world. These are fast-developing areas within the business with very strong potential for future growth. Experience in marine geotechnical design of infrastructure such as shore crossings, pipelines, jetties, land reclamation, dredging and quay-walls would be an advantage.We are seeking a committed, detail-oriented individual who will be able to utilise their knowledge and experience to support our Renewables and Marine Terminals business.Our Clients and ProjectsDesigning the future. It will take all of us working together to deliver solutions to the world's most critical challenges.Expected:Graduated from an accredited university with a degree in Geotechnical, Civil or Geological Engineering (or equivalent)Previous experience in civil, geotechnical or related experience in design of marine infrastructureGood understanding of Eurocodes and other relevant industry standardsExperience managing/working on multiple projects simultaneouslyFamiliarity with primary geotechnical analysis packagesExcellent oral and written communication skillsAbility to produce strong technical reportsAbility to work independently or in a team settingAbility to travel, domestic & international travel requiredFluent in EnglishWood is a global leader in consulting and engineering, helping to unlock solutions to critical challenges in energy and materials markets.
