Position Summary
This is a key role, supervising a team of Operators within the Tullamore 1 and Tullamore 3 EO site. Responsibilities include overseeing departmental goals for Safety, Quality, Customer demands, and Operational Effectiveness. The supervisor will train and develop team members to ensure compliance with work instructions aligned with global, local, and Customer requirements, in conjunction with Operations Management. The role involves frontline site safety, maximizing plant uptime, and achieving Customer Satisfaction, cash flow, and site targets, while ensuring adherence to Quality and Compliance standards. The supervisor will lead daily process reviews and shift handovers.
Please note that this position is a shift-based role.
Duties
Safety
* Conduct daily inspections of site conditions and observe staff practices to ensure safety compliance.
* Maintain strict adherence to site security standards.
* Ensure availability and compliance of PPE standards.
* Participate actively in all plant risk assessments.
* Drive and monitor 5S standards across the site.
* Complete 5S audits timely and escalate as needed.
* Log unsafe acts/conditions and safety observations.
* Execute safety investigations as required.
Quality
* Report process deviations, quarantine products, and investigate issues promptly.
* Ensure batch records are fully completed per Work Instructions and GMP requirements before release.
* Maintain and improve site Quality standards.
* Execute Process Controls as per Work Instructions.
Cost
* Review and monitor plant downtime and schedule adherence, suggesting improvements.
* Escalate operational downtime and non-adherence issues.
* Manage consumable stock processes, including replenishment and stock takes.
Delivery
* Ensure product processing aligns with Customer expectations and CSP parameters.
* Maintain clear segregation and storage of products.
KPIs
* Oversee SQDC countermeasures and target reporting.
* Monitor schedule adherence and continuous improvement activities.
* Drive 5S audit actions and participate in process mapping and gemba walks.
People
* Motivate and develop the team to cover all tasks with minimal overtime.
* Create development plans, coach, and conduct performance reviews.
* Foster a proactive culture aligned with company values.
* Manage performance reviews, disciplinary actions, staffing, and scheduling.
* Perform other management responsibilities as needed.
Education & Experience
Vocational/Technical degree required. Experience in a similar operational role, leading manufacturing teams, and implementing performance improvements is essential. Technical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and proficiency with MS Office are also required. Qualification in a technical or supervisory discipline is advantageous.
