Overview
We are hiring full-time, fully flexible Head Waiter/Waitress for our busy Loft restaurant in Donnybrook Fair, Dundrum.
This is a full-time position. Please ensure you can work full time, be flexible and have relevant work experience for the role.
In this position you will be responsible for leading the front-of-house service team to deliver an exceptional dining experience. This role involves supervising waitstaff, ensuring smooth daily operations, maintaining high service standards, leading by example and supporting the management team in achieving customer satisfaction and business goals.
Responsibilities
* Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of waitstaff.
* Welcome and seat guests in a professional, friendly manner.
* Ensure service standards are consistently maintained across the team.
* Handle customer inquiries, requests, and complaints effectively.
* Train, mentor, and support junior staff members.
* Communicate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth service is maintained at all times.
* Monitor table turnover, reservations, and special requests.
* Assist with menu knowledge, specials, and upselling techniques.
* Maintain cleanliness and presentation of dining areas in compliance with Donnybrook Fair and health & safety standards.
* Oversee the cleaning and hygiene of restrooms, ensuring they are stocked, clean, and presentable at all times.
* Ensure all front-of-house staff adhere to professional standards of dress and personal grooming.
* Support stock control and inventory for front-of-house supplies.
* Contribute to staff scheduling and shift planning when required.
Required Skills
* 2+ years experience as a supervisor in cafe, restaurant or similar is required for this role.
* Strong customer service and communication skills.
* Ability to lead a team and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
* Excellent problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities.
