Maintenance Technician An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and proactive Maintenance Technician to join a well-established food processing company based in Co. Monaghan.
This role is critical in ensuring efficient plant operations through timely maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of equipment in a fast-paced production environment.

As a result of ongoing success, they look to build their maintenance team further by employing a new Maintenance Technician to work in their factory in Co. Monaghan.
The Role The Maintenance Technician will play a key role in the upkeep and reliability of machinery, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum productivity.
The role involves a blend of reactive and planned maintenance, operational support, and equipment upgrades.
Key responsibilities include: Performing planned preventive maintenance and logging data in the CMMS system.
Troubleshooting and repairing PLC-controlled systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, and automation equipment.
Providing hands-on support to the production team to meet operational targets.
Coordinating with suppliers for new installations, modifications, and parts procurement.
Managing and maintaining tools, workshops, and spare parts inventory.
Supervising and liaising with contractors and ensuring safety compliance.
Supporting apprentice training and participating in cross-skilling initiatives.
Complying with Food Safety, Health & Safety, and environmental regulations.
The Person You are a technically skilled and self-motivated individual with solid experience in industrial maintenance.
You have a strong understanding of electro-mechanical systems and enjoy working in a collaborative, fast-moving environment.
You will bring: A technical diploma, degree, or trade certification in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering.
3-5 years of hands-on maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
Experience with high-speed production lines, conveyors, packaging equipment, or automated systems.
Knowledge of PLC systems, including troubleshooting and basic programming.
Familiarity with preventive maintenance strategies, CMMS, and Health & Safety practices (including LOTO).
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
A full driving licence and flexibility for on-call duties.
