You will work within a person-centred philosophy, leading on behavioural supports, staff development, and clinical governance, while ensuring dignity, independence, and equality for those in our care.Why Join Us?Play a pivotal role in enhancing quality of life, independence, and social integration for children and young adults.Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team including OTs, SLTs, psychiatrists, and social workers.Lead and mentor staff, influencing best practice in behavioural care across our growing Cork services.Be part of an organisation driven by values of respect, kindness, dignity, and engagement.What You'll DoDevelop and implement individualised Behaviour Support Plans (BSPs) using evidence-based practices (ABA, PBS, trauma-informed care).Conduct Functional Behaviour Assessments (FBA) and use data-driven methods to adapt interventions.Provide leadership and supervision to behaviour staff and frontline care teams.Deliver training on de-escalation, trauma-informed care, and proactive strategies.Collaborate with families, schools, and external agencies to ensure holistic support.Monitor, evaluate and report on behavioural progress.Ensure compliance with HIQA standards, safeguarding policies, and best-practice guidelines.Advocate for the rights and wellbeing of the children and adults in your care.What We're Looking ForEssential Qualifications & ExperienceMaster's degree (or higher) in Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA), Behavioural Science, Positive Behaviour Support (PBS), or a related field.Additional certifications in PBS or trauma-informed care.5+ years' hands-on clinical experience with IDD, ASD, or complex behavioural/mental health needs.Strong track record in designing and implementing behavioural support plans.Leadership experience supervising staff, delivering training, and mentoring others.Expertise in FBAs, ABC assessments, and evidence-based interventions.Knowledge of HIQA, disability rights legislation, and clinical governance requirements.Desirable ExperienceDeveloping behavioural programmes or policies in care settings.Experience with children/young adults with dual diagnoses or complex needs.Quality assurance, auditing, or research/publishing in behavioural science.Familiarity with neurodiversity-affirming approaches.Data analysis and use of behavioural tracking/EHR systems.Cultural competence and ability to work effectively with diverse groups.Personal QualitiesAnalytical, solutions-focused thinker.Excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills.High emotional intelligence, resilience, and conflict-resolution ability.Passionate about rights-based, person-centred care.What We OfferAn opportunity to lead change and improve lives in Cork communities.Ongoing professional development, training, and CPD.A supportive environment where multidisciplinary teamwork is at the heart of what we do.Competitive package and career progression opportunities.About The Talbot GroupThe Talbot Group is a leading provider of residential, respite, day and specialist services across Ireland.
