Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Manager to oversee the successful delivery of our annual work plans and provide specialist support/advice to our senior management team. The ideal candidate will be a key participant in the design, development, and implementation of policy within our organisation.
About the Role
This is a critical leadership position that requires the ability to manage and support staff, develop annual goals and objectives, and represent our organisation at stakeholder engagements. The successful candidate will embody our values and be committed to maintaining a high-performance culture.
Key Responsibilities
1. Manage and support staff through coaching, mentoring, skills transfer, and development;
2. Carry out appraisals for each team member through our annual appraisal process;
3. Deliver work in line with our Strategic Plan, implementing our strategy day-to-day, and embodying our organisational values;
4. Develop annual goals and objectives for the team, which will feed into our work plan;
5. Manage at all levels in a changing environment that demands flexibility and adaptability;
6. Operate in an environment of increasing accountability;
7. Provide a clear focus on managing outputs and outcomes;
8. Manage key projects in line with our work plan in a productive and efficient manner;
9. Represent us at stakeholder engagements, communicating effectively with external stakeholders.
Essential Requirements
* An honours degree, NFQ Level 8 equivalent, in a relevant discipline (including but not limited to regulatory policy, engineering, science, law, finance, business, accountancy);
* Minimum of 5 years' experience working in a regulatory, policy-making, or other relevant role.
Benefits
* A competitive salary of €82,000;
* Salary increments awarded annually, subject to satisfactory performance.
