The role of the Merchandise Planner is to forecast demand, plan stock levels, and ensure optimal stock levels align with sales goals. Key tasks include analysing sales trends, coordinating with suppliers on stock and forecasts, and working closely with Buyers and cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
* Collaborate with Buyers and cross-functional teams to forecast stock requirements.
* Presentation of forecasting insights and stock strategies in meetings using Excel-based tools and visual reports.
* Leadership in discussions on replenishment setup and performance.
Additional responsibilities include communicating with suppliers to confirm stock availability, resolving issues with back orders, and facilitating regular reviews of replenishment settings with GMs and Product & Marketing Managers.
