One of Ireland's largest legal firms are looking for a Senior Finance Manager to join their team on a contract basis. This role provides the opportunity to work with exceptional people and a broad range of high calibre domestic and international clients. As a senior member of the finance management team, you will be leading a team of four direct reports and liaising closely with other senior management and partners. This is a contract role for 12-15 months working on a hybrid basis in the Dublin office. There is an excellent working environment, a competitive benefits package and the opportunity to engage in a range of learning and development initiatives About the role Financial Reporting Maintaining the integrity of financial information in compliance with relevant legislation and internal accounting policies Coordinating and overseeing the month end accounts Managing the preparation of monthly management accounts to strict reporting deadlines Ongoing development of the month-end close process to drive efficiencies and meet the changing needs of the business Leading the preparation of the annual budgeting process Coordinating and managing the completion of year end accounts Attending monthly meetings with the Finance Director to discuss financial performance of the firm and highlight key issues Attending ad hoc meetings with Heads of Departments across the firm and the Managing Partner to discuss departmental financial performance Business partnering with Heads of Business Services Departments to review their costs against budget and reviewing financial information to help inform promotions processes Coordinating and managing the year end Statutory Audit; Overseeing the implementation of audit recommendations and monitoring the ongoing compliance with these and other controls; Team Management Managing and developing the Financial Reporting team - one Finance Manager and three trainee accountants; Reviewing work carried out by the Financial Reporting team; and Providing regular feedback and performance About the person ACA or ACCA Qualified with a minimum of 5 years' experience in a management role; Ability to communicate appropriately with finance colleagues and internal stakeholders; You can recognise limitations and seek assistance and advice where necessary; You have strong analytical skills with the ability to research, understand and resolve a wide range of finance issues; You have the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines, managing multiple priorities, with a determination to achieve specific goals.
