The role focuses on delivering high-quality decision support and analysis to the business, while also ensuring that financial controls and governance processes operate effectively.
### Key Responsibilities* Support the Finance team in operating, improving, and automating controls over financial transactions and data.
* Assist in the preparation of financial reporting for internal and external stakeholders.
* Take ownership of key financial controls, systems, processes, and data, developing into a subject matter expert for business queries over time.
* Contribute to Finance-led projects and wider business change initiatives, including the implementation of new accounting standards, regulations, products, and systems.
* Identify opportunities to leverage technology to improve processes and enable skills transfer within the team.
* Undertake any other duties as assigned by the Senior Finance Transformation Manager.
### Education & Experience* Third-level degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
* Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role.
### Skills & Experience* Self-starter with the drive to use technology to improve processes and solve problems independently.
* Strong team player with a proven ability to collaborate to achieve shared objectives.
* Ambitious, self-aware, and motivated to grow into increased responsibility over time.
* Effective planning, organisation, and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Advanced Excel skills (including complex formulas, pivot tables, and macros).
* Experience using SQL for data manipulation and reporting.
* Familiarity with reporting and data visualisation tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau).
* Knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics is an advantage.
