Position: Trades Generalist
Responsibilities:
1. Provide and accomplish technical and trade-specific maintenance, construction, and restoration services such as electrical, carpentry, and plumbing for the regional office campus.
2. Manage HVAC systems, fire and security systems, elevator services, and other contractual services.
3. Perform and oversee all interior and exterior maintenance and restoration duties, groundskeeping, snow and ice removal, daily service requests, and preventive maintenance.
4. Troubleshoot and service building automation systems, focus on energy management improvements, and coordinate with outside contractors and vendors.
5. Maintain mechanical equipment, perform emergency repairs, and ensure safety standards.
6. Procure supplies and materials, obtain quotes, prepare purchase requisitions, and manage contracts with vendors.
7. Track supplies and equipment, perform administrative duties, and submit reports and work orders accurately and timely.
8. Oversee subordinate staff, provide instructions, and plan construction, maintenance, and repair projects.
Minimum Qualifications:
* Four years of full-time experience in a skilled trade or equivalent training through technical courses or military service.
* Valid New York State driver's license appropriate for the vehicle operated, if required.
