Job Description
At Vertiv, our LV Switchgear and Busbar divisions design and manufacture electrical distribution equipment for business-critical applications throughout Europe. With continued growth, we are looking for a skilled and experienced Logistics Manager to join our team in Burnfoot and play a key role in optimizing our supply chain and ensuring the seamless movement of goods from point of origin to final destination.
Responsibilities
* Ensure a safe workplace for all employees, contractors, and visitors involved in logistics activity.
* Enforce safety and environmental requirements on site during logistics operations.
* Manage and coordinate logistics and shipping teams in Burnfoot, Campsie, and Letterkenny, ensuring appropriate resources to fulfill inbound and outbound obligations.
* Guarantee timely availability of packaging materials such as pallets, foil bags, stretch wrap, and other consumables.
* Provide cost-effective lifting equipment, transport, and manpower to safely move and load products and materials to/from transport vehicles.
* Facilitate smooth transfer of materials and products worldwide, ensuring compliance with national and international trade requirements.
* Maintain accurate documentation, electronic or hard copy, for efficient transfer across shipping routes.
* Keep the logistics function informed of current transport regulations and corporate governance practices.
* Manage contracts or agreements with transport companies and logistics service providers transparently and ethically.
* Handle scrap material transactions responsibly, considering ESG criteria.
* Actively pursue efficiencies and cost‑saving opportunities in logistics services to meet Vertiv’s business needs.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply‑chain management, business administration, or a related field.
* Minimum of 5 years of logistics management experience, preferably in manufacturing.
* Strong grasp of logistics principles, including transportation, warehousing, inventory management, and supply‑chain optimization.
* Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills; able to communicate and collaborate at all organizational levels.
* Demonstrated ability to analyze data, identify trends, and implement effective strategies.
* Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to prioritize in a fast‑paced environment.
* Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards governing logistics operations.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant logistics software and systems.
Travel Required
25% travel.
