Role Overview:
The Financial Accountant will play a key role in the financial operations of an organisation, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with statutory requirements, and support for strategic financial planning.
* Assist in the day-to-day operations of the finance function.
* Prepare monthly financial reports, including management accounts, activity reports, and performance metrics.
* Support the preparation of annual financial statements and liaise with external auditors.
* Manage cash flow forecasting, banking and treasury functions.
* Review and enhance internal financial controls and procedures.
* Collaborate with ICT on finance system upgrades and implementations.
* Assist in budget preparation and monitoring.
* Contribute to risk management and quality assurance frameworks.
Key Qualifications:
* Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CPA, CIMA, ACA) or equivalent.
* Minimum of 3 to 4 years' experience in a similar role.
Skill Requirements:
* Strong proficiency in financial systems and MS Excel.
* Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
* Effective communication skills—written and verbal.
* Ability to work independently, as part of a team and to manage multiple priorities.
* High attention to detail and analytical thinking.
