In this role you will primarily work with inbound leads, supporting the conversion of enquiries into new business. Full training and ongoing guidance will be provided, making this a great opportunity to develop strong sales and commercial insurance skills.

The Role
* Respond promptly and professionally to inbound sales enquiries, supporting the process of converting qualified leads into new business.
* Carry out initial fact‑finding conversations to understand clients' needs.
* Maintain an organised sales pipeline and follow defined processes to support high conversion rates and promote the Hastings brand.
* Engage with decision makers and sector contacts in a professional manner, helping build long‑term relationships under the guidance of senior colleagues.
* Review inbound queries to identify cross‑sell opportunities within existing client accounts, coordinating with internal teams to confirm suitability.
* Work collaboratively with the Commercial New Business team to contribute to team targets and deliver a positive customer experience.
* Support Account Handlers during the onboarding of new clients to ensure smooth transitions and service consistency.
* Provide regular updates on sales activity and personal progress to maintain accurate performance forecasts.
* Establish and maintain relationships with key insurance contacts.
* Contribute observations for quarterly market and competitor insights to support the team's commercial strategy.
* Stay up to date with regulatory requirements and ensure full compliance with CBI, CPC, GDPR, and internal policies.
The Person
* Passionate about closing sales to generate and maximise revenue, whilst at the same time providing a high quality, positive experience to prospective clients.
* Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills are essential.
* Tenacious and resilient in approach, thriving on the satisfaction of not only achieving, but also exceeding targets.
* Commercial insurance experience is essential
* APA/ CIP qualified is essential
