We are currently recruiting a
Pharmacy Technician
for a well-established hospital in Dublin.
This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated and motivated professional to join a dynamic multidisciplinary team within a modern clinical setting.
Job Type Permanent / Full-time
Support the Pharmacist in the accurate and safe dispensing of prescription and non-prescription medicines.
Prepare and label prescriptions accurately in accordance with Irish pharmacy regulations and professional practice standards.
Provide appropriate advice to patients on the safe and effective use of prescribed medicines and OTC products within the scope of the role.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and pharmacy documentation.
Assist with stock management activities, including ordering, receiving, storing, and rotating inventory to reduce wastage.
Ensure compliance with all relevant Irish pharmacy legislation, including Medicinal Products and Misuse of Drugs Regulations.
Operate pharmacy dispensing and stock management systems efficiently and accurately.
Participate in health promotion campaigns and public health initiatives.
Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organised pharmacy environment.
Contribute to the smooth day-to-day running of the pharmacy, including customer service, administrative support, and responding to customer enquiries.
Requirements
Hold a recognised Pharmacy Technician qualification.
Previous experience working in a retail pharmacy environment is desirable.
Demonstrate strong numerical aptitude with excellent attention to detail.
Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a small team.
Have a sound knowledge of medicines, their therapeutic uses, and potential side effects.
Demonstrate an understanding of pharmacy legislation, regulations, and ethical practice.
Maintain a customer-focused approach with a professional, friendly, and approachable manner.
Exhibit strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively and prioritise workload.
