With our sustainable concepts and experience gained from decades of project work, we shape the future of transportation, connect continents, and promote environmental stewardship.We are currently seeking an Enabling Works – Senior Project Manager to work with us on a project in Ireland.Responsibilities:Lead planning, coordination, and delivery of multiple Enabling Work Contract packages (including archaeology, heritage, utilities, environment, and protection works for Northern/Southern sections)Ensure all packages meet timelines, regulatory requirements, and stakeholder expectationsLiaise with local authorities, environmental, heritage bodies, and utility providers for compliance and coordinationIntegrate enabling works smoothly into the overall programme, minimizing disruptionMonitor/report progress, risks, and mitigation strategies for enabling worksEnsure safety, environmental protection, and community focus in executionDevelop and manage project scope, budget, schedules, and compliance with regulations/codesReport progress to stakeholders and resolve issues/delays promptlyConduct site inspections, quality checks, and ensure project alignment with other project teamsReview and align interfacing contracts to programme objectivesTrack/report project expenditure, schedule, milestones, changes, and qualityIdentify and mitigate risks related to railway interfacesFoster collaboration across multidisciplinary teams and manage systems integrationSupport compliance with planning/procurement policies and encourage continuous improvementPerform additional duties as required by the roleQualifications:Minimum 10 years' project delivery experience with at least 5 years' in specialism across the project lifecycle through to completion in high value metro rail or similar projectAt least Higher Certificate degree (or equivalent) in an appropriate field or Ordinary Bachelor's degree in a relevant field would be advantageousHolding PMP (Project Management Professional) certificationBeing certified CCM (Certified Construction Manager)Professional registration with institution e.g. ChPP – or working towards thisAssociate Member / Member or equivalent of an appropriate institution e.g. MAPM, IPMEnabling works and construction management experienceCommercial and financial awareness in project/package environmentsExperience leading project components within large, diverse teamsSkilled at building stakeholder relationships at all levelsExcellent communication skills for clear project dialogueProven ability to deliver quality project outcomes and manage technical outputs efficientlyKnowledge/experience of NEC Contracts requiredStrong project management skills for end-to-end deliveryProficient in gathering, documenting, and analysing requirementsSkilled in risk identification, assessment, and mitigationCollaborative team player for cohesive project deliveryProblem-solving skills to keep projects on trackKnowledge of railway systems design, operations, and safetyExperience in quality assurance for project deliverablesFlexible and adaptable to changing requirementsStrong interpersonal, analytical, and organisational skillsAbility to drive and govern high-quality outcomesBenefits:We're strong believers in continual training and development for our people.
