**looking for a Transport Shift Manager to join our team within our Cork Distribution Centre.
** This role will play a key part in the overall growth of the organisation along with helping to Focused on leading our Transport team in our busy distribution centre and responsible for the operational planning & execution of our distribution functions in a state-of-the-art Distribution Centre.
You must have experience of leading and building teams to drive performance, engagement and support our vision to being our customers' most valued and trusted business partner.
**Requirements:** 3+ years' experience in a relevant management / supervisory role in a high volume, technology driven, time sensitive distribution operation Experience within the Food distribution industry is advantageousAbility to plan and organise your own and your teams work activities in a safe, efficient and effective mannerStrong knowledge of the Department of Transport regulations (Tachograph legislation, Work Time Directive etc.) Proven ability to manage a team to deliver the highest standards of service Proven ability to be an effective decision maker with a hands-on approach to the business Ability to analyse, interpret and explain and present relevant business dataMust possess a strong knowledge of the surrounding geographical area**Core Competencies:** maintaining constructive and effective relationships with others across departments and other boundaries.
