Overview
Signode, Waterford, Ireland is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to manage and maintain the integrity of subledger accounts, ensuring accurate and timely reconciliation with the general ledger. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and experience working with ERP systems.
Responsibilities
* Maintain and reconcile subledger accounts (e.g., Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Inventory, Bank reconciliation).
* Ensure timely and accurate posting of transactions and journals.
* Investigate and resolve discrepancies or variances.
* Support month-end and year-end close processes.
* Collaborate with internal departments to ensure data accuracy and completeness.
* Assist in audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
* Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and regulatory requirements.
* Participate in system upgrades, testing, and process improvement initiatives.

Qualifications
