Our client, a leading Multinational Semiconductor Software provider, is seeking a Principal SoC Design Engineer for a role based in Cork City, Ireland.
The role requires onsite presence 4 days per week.
Role:
In this position, you will be responsible for developing and validating reference systems for applications such as Computer Vision, Machine Learning, Radar, Automotive, and other high-performance systems.
The team will also implement reference designs on emulation systems and support applications for product demonstrations.
This role demands extensive experience in IP integration and implementing SoC and compute-based systems.
You will collaborate closely with compute and interface IP development engineering and build designs to demonstrate subsystem and component capabilities.
Responsibilities:
* Develop, implement, and debug SoC reference systems.
* Integrate compute, memory, and interface IP in system designs.
* Analyze IP products and implementation flows.
* Identify gaps and collaborate with development teams to enhance products.
* Create collateral and training materials for system customers.
* Identify and apply best practices in hardware design, testing, and validation to improve efficiency and reliability.
* Stay updated with industry trends, technologies, and design methodologies, incorporating them into workflows.
Requirements:
* BS in Electronic Engineering/Computer Science with 8+ years of experience, or MS in EE/CS with 4+ years of experience.
* At least 3 years of experience in ASIC design, integration, or verification.
* Expertise in domains such as processor design, on-chip communication, high-speed interfaces, or chiplets.
* Proficiency in Verilog/SystemVerilog for coding and verification.
* Knowledge of RTL design techniques, synthesis, timing closure, and verification.
* Experience with UVM for ASIC functional verification.
* Experience with EDA tools like Cadence and Synopsys for simulation and verification.
* Proficiency with FPGA emulation, design tools, and verification.
