Role Description
The Quantity Surveyor will assist with
commercial and cost management
aspects of our mechanical engineering projects. This role involves close collaboration with project teams to ensure financial targets are met while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
* Monitor and assist in controlling project expenditures, ensuring alignment with financial targets.
* Liaise with clients, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure accurate cost controlling and contract compliance.
* Review contracts and assist on Contractual issues where required
* Manage progress payments.
* Support procurement and tendering processes for mechanical components and services.
* Prepare and manage Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and cost plans for mechanical projects.
* Maintain accurate records of project costs, materials, and contractual documentation.
Requirements:

A minimum of a level 8 Degree in Quantity Surveying, Mechanical Engineering, or similar field
·
SCSI and/or RICS Membership advantageous
·
Experience within the mechanical engineering sector advantageous.
·
Proficiency in cost controlling.
·
Strong IT skills
·
Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
