We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Room Leader to join our team and lead a specific age group.
Key Responsibilities:
1.
Childcare and Development:
– Plan and implement a high-quality curriculum tailored to the developmental needs of children aged (specific age group, e.g., 2-3 years).
– Create a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment that encourages exploration and discovery.
– Observe and assess children's progress, providing feedback and support to enhance their development.
2.
Team Leadership:
– Supervise and support the childcare practitioners within the room, fostering a collaborative and positive team atmosphere.
– Conduct regular team meetings and provide guidance on best practices in early childhood education.
3.
Health and Safety:
– Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all children in the room, following all relevant regulations and guidelines.
– Conduct daily safety checks and maintain a clean and organized environment.
4.
Parent Communication:
– Build strong relationships with parents and guardians, providing updates on their child's development and addressing any concerns.
– Participate in parent-teacher meetings and events to engage families in their child's learning journey.
5.
Administrative Duties:
– Maintain accurate records of children's attendance, development assessments, and any incidents that may occur.
– Support the Creche Manager in managing resources and materials effectively.
6.
Compliance and Training:
– Stay informed about current early childhood education trends and regulations, ensuring compliance with all relevant policies.
– Participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities.
Qualifications:
– Relevant qualification in early childhood education (e.g., QQI Level 5 or higher).
– Previous experience working in a childcare setting, ideally in a leadership role.
– Strong understanding of child development and early education practices.
– Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
– Ability to work collaboratively with staff, children, and families.
