In this role, you will be providing national clinical leadership regarding the strategic direction, design, delivery and performance management for Care@Home services across Vhi Health & Wellbeing (H&W), aligned to the overall H&W strategy and vision.About usOur purpose at Vhi is to help our customers and patients live longer, stronger and healthier lives. Services include the Vhi 360 health centre with lifestyle and complementary therapies, an Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) offering counselling, coaching, and expert advice, and individual support such as mindfulness resources and health coaching.Key AccountabilitiesResponsible for leadership, delivery, monitoring and reporting of the Clinical Governance programme in for Care@Home servicesAccountable for QSR activities for national Care@Home services, including ensuring that all staff initiateand participate in relevant QSR activities (e.g. audit, risk, incident, complaints) and improvement in keeping with the Vhi H&W QSR Framework and Vhi H&W strategic objectives. Work with the relevant Quality, Safety & Risk (QSR) team members to ensure that the design and delivery of Care@Home services adhere to H&W QSR policies, procedures, protocols and guidelines (PPPGs) and external standards / statutory requirements (e.g. HIQA), and oversee the process to secure and maintain the relevant external accreditation.Accountable for the clinical oversight and delivery and performance of specified Care@Home services delivered at a national level. Provide line management / performance management to relevant direct reports within these services.Collaborate with the National Head of Operations for Care@Home services in establishing and maintaining performance management standards, frameworks and processes for Care@Home services, including defining and monitoring KPIs, to enable comparative analysis of the performance of services across facilities / channels and the identification of emerging issues and trends.On a sessional basis, or as required, work with the frontline H&W teams to deliver high-quality, safe Care@Home services to Vhi service users.Working with the National Head of Operations for Care@Home services, be accountable for the development and implementation of the strategy, national business plans and best-practice models of care for H&W Care@Home services. Collaborate with relevant individuals / teams across H&W to obtain input and ensure a coordinated approach aligned to the overall H&W strategy and vision.Work in close collaboration with the National Head of Operations for Care@Home services to ensure alignment of all clinical and operational activities relating to Care@Home at a national level, with accountability to both the Chief Clinical Officer and Chief Operations Officer for the overall performance of Care@Home as a defined service across H&W.Develop and evolve the scope of practice detailing the specific Care@Home services to be delivered locally from each H&W facility. Provide expert guidance and support to teams and leadership in the facilities (who are accountable for local Care@Home service delivery) to address facility-level performance / service delivery issues and any individual performance / development considerations relating to Care@Home professionals.Collaborate with the relevant colleagues in H&W on training and education to ensure the development and delivery of appropriate Care@Home training to support frontline staff in service delivery as per the service strategy and models of care.Work with the National Head of Operations for Care@Home Services to ensure cross-Vhi alignment (i.e. with Group and Insurance) on the development of new Care@Home services / propositions.Participate as a member of the Chief Clinical Officer leadership team, ensuring coordinated clinical leadership in the development / delivery of quality and standards of care across H&W services, channels and disciplines.Work in close collaboration with the National Head of Operations for Care@Home on business development activities including establishing and maintaining relationships with external healthcare providers referring patients to the H&W Care@Home service.What you need to be successfulKey Capabilities:Understanding of quality, safety and risk and experience of clinical governance oversiteDemonstrate strong and credible leadership in bringing people together across systems and clinical disciplines, with a proven ability to inspire them to deliver common goals.Dynamic individual with interest in service development and quality improvementClinical expertise with strong decision-making abilityExceptional ability to bring a concept from the ideation stage to implementation and then to ensure ongoing operational effectiveness.Strong appreciation for the customer / patient experience, commercial and quality delivery of services.Operate with professional and personal integrity.Exceptional planning and time management effectively prioritises tasks and has the ability to manage multiple complex tasks.Ability to recognise and respect the expertise of others and the contribution of team members and harness good teamwork and open contributions to enable excellent patient care.Demonstrate alignment to Vhi valuesEssentialOn the specialist register of the Irish Medical Council – Medical Consultant or General practitioner with previous hospital experienceMinimum 8 years’ relevant clinical experience post specialist registration.
