Job Summary
This role is responsible for leading, supporting and developing person-centred opportunities and community based services for adults with an intellectual disability.
About the Position
* Qualifications in Social Care, Allied Health or equivalent are highly desirable.
* Experience working with adults with disabilities in areas such as social and community development, education and employment would be advantageous.
* A minimum of a third-level qualification and experience managing a team of staff in a disability service are essential requirements.
Key Responsibilities
* Development of person-centred plans using a human rights based approach to deliver outcomes-based services and supports.
* Implementation of national policy and best practice in disability services to enhance quality of life for individuals.
* Promotion of meaningful community involvement and interaction including education and employment initiatives.
