We are seeking aFood Safety & Quality Technical Specialistto join our Food Safety and Quality team. Please note this role is based in Bicester UK You will primarily be responsible for the support, implementation and maintenance of BRCGS standards and the co-ordination of testing and sampling of people, products and environment with external laboratories to agreed schedule. Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to: Drive continuous improvement of the FSQMS and a culture of food safety excellence. Key member of the HACCP team, ensuring adherence to the HACCP pre-requisite programmes including calibration, pest control, GMP audits, verifying accuracy of documentation, traceability data, allergen management. Completion of project work directed by the Food Safety and Quality Team to improve Food Safety and Quality initiatives within the business. Day-to-day management of the Food Safety & Quality Management System. Assessments of packaged Own Brand products against specification. Internal audit scheduling and co-ordination across warehouse and production teams. Sustainability data collection and reporting. Food safety training, delivery and content management. Manage the supplier approval system, conducting site visits as necessary. Specification management. Provide advice and support to the NPD process. Complaint and NCR investigation. The successful candidate will have / be: Science/Food Science Qualification Knowledge of warehousing or food production environments Technical Quality experience Working knowledge of food legislation requirements Proficient in use of specification systems and data management portals HACCP/Food Safety Management Systems knowledge Experience of BRCGS Storage & Distribution/Food standards implementation and management Flexible approach to day-to-day activities Accuracy and strong attention to detail Excellent communication and problem-solving skills and ability to develop effective working relationships with people at all levels in the organization and external bodies Full Drivers License and access to own car Audit qualification is desirable Musgrave is an equal opportunities employer.
