We offer expert services including drain maintenance, CCTV surveys, repairs and relining, septic tank services, pest control, and environmental compliance. As our business continues to grow, we are expanding our pump services division and looking for an experienced Pump Engineer to help drive that growth.
Role Overview
As a Pump Engineer at Glancy Enviro, you will play a key role in maintaining, repairing, and upgrading pump systems for domestic and commercial clients across Ireland. You will be the go-to expert on wastewater and water-delivery pumps, ensuring systems are efficient, compliant, and well-documented.
Key Responsibilities
* Servicing & Maintenance
o Perform scheduled and emergency maintenance on a wide range of pump systems, including wastewater treatment pumps and potable/non-potable delivery pumps.
* Troubleshooting & Repairs
o Diagnose and repair faults (mechanical, electrical, and control-related), carrying out on-site fixes or coordinating workshop repairs.
* Installations & Upgrades
o Specify, install and commission new pump sets, pipework, and controls; advise clients on performance improvements and regulatory compliance (e.g., Irish Water, EPA).
* Documentation & Compliance
o Complete accurate service reports, maintenance logs, and risk assessments in line with Health & Safety, environmental and hygiene standards.
* Division Development
o Identify opportunities for new services (e.g., telemetry monitoring, energy-efficient retrofits) and collaborate with management on implementation with future scope to lead a growing team.
What We Are Looking For
* 3+ years experience with pumps in wastewater or potable-water systems.
* Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills; familiarity with basic PLCs/control panels, P&IDs and technical manuals.
* Recognised trade qualification (e.g., Mechanical Fitter, Electrician) or equivalent hands-on experience.
* Full, clean Irish/EEA Category B driving licence.
