Job Description
We are seeking an experienced professional to lead a high-impact function within a global insurance group. As a Pricing Portfolio Manager, you will shape portfolio strategy, enhance underwriting and pricing performance, and work closely with Distribution, third-party partners, and senior leadership.
In this role, you'll be responsible for leading teams of underwriters, actuaries, and data experts to deliver performance across key lines of business. You will own portfolio management activities, refining pricing, underwriting strategy, and performance monitoring. Collaboration with Distribution and third-party partners is essential to enhance customer outcomes and profitability.
You will ensure compliance with regulatory standards in Ireland, the UK, and Group policies. Monitoring KPIs and business trends to identify risks, opportunities, and improvements is crucial. As a business lead on strategic projects, you will regularly brief senior leaders on portfolio performance and emerging risk.
Developing and maintaining data-driven portfolio tools to support retail line reviews is also a key responsibility. Supporting and growing internal talent-set objectives, conducting performance reviews, and planning for succession are additional tasks that require your attention. Building a strong, engaged team by acting on employee feedback and championing a high-performing culture is essential.
Key Responsibilities:

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* 5-7 years' experience in pricing, underwriting, risk, or financial control, with 3+ years in a leadership role
* Strong commercial acumen and a proven ability to drive results through teams
* Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (accountancy, business, or actuarial), with insurance qualifications such as a Diploma in Insurance or ACII being an advantage
* Deep understanding of general insurance, underwriting performance, and regulatory frameworks in Ireland and the UK
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills - able to translate complex data into clear action
* A collaborative, people-first leadership style with a commitment to developing others
