We are seeking a hands‑on Continuous Improvement Engineer to join our organisation and play a key role in driving operational excellence across the business. This is a highly practical, on‑the‑ground role, working closely with multiple departments to identify, lead, and deliver continuous improvement initiatives.
This position is ideal for someone who has direct experience implementing CI projects in live operational environments..
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and deliver hands‑on continuous improvement projects across production, operations, and support functions
* Work closely with cross‑functional teams to identify inefficiencies and implement practical, sustainable solutions
* Facilitate CI activities such as Kaizen events, process mapping, root cause analysis, and standard work implementation
* Spend significant time on the shop floor / in operations, observing processes and coaching teams
* Drive the adoption of CI methodologies and behaviours across departments
* Support change management initiatives and embed a culture of continuous improvement
* Track improvements and ensure gains are sustained over time
Required Skills & Experience
* Proven experience working as a Continuous Improvement Engineer / CI Specialist / Operational Excellence role
* Direct, hands‑on experience delivering continuous improvement projects in manufacturing, engineering, logistics, or operational environments
* Strong practical knowledge of CI tools and methodologies (e.g. Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, 5S, Value Stream Mapping)
* Experience collaborating with multiple departments and influencing stakeholders at all levels
* A proactive, pragmatic approach with the ability to turn ideas into action
* Comfortable working in fast‑paced, operational settings rather than purely office‑based roles
