Who Should Apply?
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Financial Accountant to join a well-established finance team. You will take ownership of statutory reporting and taxation activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with IFRS standards and local regulations. Key Responsibilities:
* Lead statutory reporting processes, including year-end closing and preparation of local and consolidated financial statements.
* Act as the primary contact for external auditors, ensuring an efficient and smooth audit process.
* Evaluate internal controls and recommend enhancements to strengthen financial governance.
* Prepare and present financial and audit reports, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.
* Oversee end-to-end payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all relevant legislation.
* Manage tax compliance, including VAT, Corporation Tax, Transfer Pricing, and other statutory returns.
* Develop and implement tax strategies to optimise financial performance and manage risk.
* Maintain accurate records for audits, payroll, and tax, ensuring full compliance with internal policies and regulations.
Requirements:
* Professional ACCA/ACA qualification.
* Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role within financial services, a large corporation, or a Big 4 environment.
* Strong experience in preparing statutory financial statements and consolidated accounts, including supporting notes.
* Excellent knowledge of IFRS standards.
* Proven experience managing payroll processes.
* Experience preparing tax returns, including VAT and Corporation Tax.
* Strong presentation and reporting skills for senior stakeholders.
* Understanding of complex financial products and their accounting impact.
