Abbott Vascular is one of the world's leading vascular care businesses. Our broad line of vascular devices—including vessel closure, endovascular, and coronary technologies—are used to treat vessel diseases of the heart, carotid arteries, and peripheral blood vessels. These diseases can lead to heart attack, stroke, critical limb ischemia, and other serious vascular conditions.
Purpose of the job
Performs electronic, mechanical, or electro-mechanical assembly operations on assemblies or sub-assemblies. Sets up and operates automatic or semi-automatic machines. May perform tasks like labeling packages and attaching data sheets to products.
Major Responsibilities
* Ensure compliance with corporate and divisional policies and procedures.
* Assemble, repair, inspect, and test products following written instructions in English.
* Set up and operate manufacturing machines following written instructions.
* Clean tools and equipment as per procedures.
* Record information on approved documents.
* Dispose of hazardous waste properly.
* Resolve problems and make routine recommendations.
* Train other employees when necessary.
* Maintain certifications required to stay in compliance.
* Complete daily work to meet schedules, prioritizing tasks with supervisor guidance.
* Handle sensitive information confidentially.
Qualifications:
* Leaving Certificate or pass rating in an Aptitude Test selected by Abbott Vascular.
* Relevant work experience is advantageous but not essential; an equivalent combination of education and experience is acceptable.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Enthusiastic, energetic, and able to integrate quickly into a team.
* Flexible and innovative approach to work.
