Wicklow, Ireland (HYBRID) - €40,000 + Benefits The Job: An established manufacturing/distribution business is seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to support a busy, high-volume finance function.
This is a hands-on operational role where accuracy, pace, and attention to detail are critical.
Working closely with Sales, Purchasing, and Operations, the successful candidate will support day-to-day finance activities across accounts receivable, credit control, and transactional processing.
This is not a junior role and is not suitable for candidates early in their finance career.
Key responsibilities: - High volume customer invoicing and preparation of monthly statements - Credit control and proactive management of the debtor ledger - Dispatching stock in ERP systems using batch/lot numbers - Verification of delivery and landed costs, investigation and resolution of discrepancies - Multi currency processing (EUR / GBP / USD) - Bank and card reconciliations, reporting support - Monitoring debtor insurance limits and supporting compliance requirements - VAT related support including VIES, Intrastat, and triangulation exposure (beneficial) The Candidate: - Minimum 5 years' experience in an Accounts Assistant / Finance Administration role (AP / AR / GL) - Background in manufacturing or distribution, with genuine exposure to stock flows, SKUs, batch/lot numbers, and logistics - Proven ability to manage high transaction volumes accurately and under pressure - Strong practical understanding of VAT, including sales, purchases, credit notes, and multi-currency transactions - Multi-currency experience (EUR / GBP / USD) - ERP system experience (Sage 200 highly desirable or similar) - Strong Excel skills The Package: - Full-time permanent position - Hybrid working after probation (2 days per week working from home) - 25 days annual leave - Personal health insurance (post-probation) - Pension scheme with up to 5% employer matching (post-probation) - Employee Assistance Programme - Immediate start available - On site parking Please email your CV to Rebekah Shields, Global Recruitment Managing Director, ****** .
