Systems Engineer/DevOps Engineer, Managed OperationsAWS is set to introduce the inaugural European Sovereign Cloud (ESC), marking a significant development in utility computing (UC).
To spearhead this initiative, we are actively seeking experienced systems engineers with a strong background in automation and operations.
As part of the AWS Managed Operations team, you will play a pivotal role in building and leading operations and development teams dedicated to delivering high-availability AWS services, including EC2, S3, Dynamo, Lambda, and Bedrock, exclusively for EU customers.

A typical day involves collaborating with technology leaders, contributing to operational improvements, and ensuring high availability, reliability, latency, performance, and efficiency of the ESC.
You will participate in "on-call" rotations to resolve incidents out-of-hours.
The goal is to deliver scalable services and ensure a high-availability experience for EU customers.

Utility Computing (UC)European Sovereign Cloud (ESC) is part of AWS Utility Computing (UC), which provides foundational services like S3 and EC2, along with new innovations that set AWS apart.
As a member of AWS UC, you'll support the development and management of Compute, Database, Storage, IoT, Platform, and Productivity services, with Managed Operations engineers engaging with customers requiring specialized security solutions.
A Day in the LifeYour week will involve meaningful contributions to software system operations, reviewing operational health, identifying anomalies, and creating bug reports to enhance system performance.
You will provide feedback on change management documents, address operational backlogs, develop and test scripts, and share insights on the European Sovereign Cloud with service teams.
Additionally, you will participate in 24x7 on-call rotations to root-cause issues and maintain system resilience.
