About The Role The role what is it we would like you to do? Currie & Brown is currently looking for an M&E Quantity Surveyor for our Dublin office. The successful candidate will support our directors in generating a high standard of service delivery on a wide range of private and public sector projects, achieving successful outcomes for our clients, capturing and sharing knowledge across projects, enhancing our culture of innovation and reinforcing our reputation as a preferred service provider. Your core duties will involve Providing accurate cost advice and reporting to our clients Assisting Director delivering projects, commissions and professional assignments Assuming a leading role in setting objectives and priorities, working as a proactive team player Maintaining effective communication to ensure all information is available for the successful completion of projects; liaising with other managers to ensure efficient financial control Undertaking commercial management services with limited supervision Delivering all work outputs in an accurate and timely manner, working under minimum supervision Providing support to the project director in cost management of projects Representing the company in a professional and diligent manner; meeting, negotiating and corresponding with clients to form strong working relationships Producing Bills of Quantities for M&E works, including medium and high voltage infrastructure works., pre contract budgeting, bid levelling and post contract work. What skills and attributes are we looking for from you BSc in quantity surveying or equivalent Membership of the Society of Chartered Surveyors (SCSI) If not Chartered, on the road to chartership A minimum of two years technical delivery experience Experience of Public Sector Procurement in Ireland relating to M&E Services Pre- and post-contract experience using PW-CF1 & 5 relating to M&E Services Experience of project cost control, including management & negotiation claims Good client-facing and communication skills Well-organised, diligent, proactive, assertive, well-disciplined and commercially astute A team player with a can-do attitude, outgoing, polite, patient, diplomatic, personable, respectful and flexible CostX experience preferred, but not essential Driving Licence Ability to pass Garda Vetting and Security Clearance procedures Why choose Currie & Brown?
