As a Social Care Professional, you will play a pivotal role in supporting family carers within community-based settings. This position requires strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with family carers, colleagues, and other stakeholders. You will be responsible for managing local events and programs, collaborating with the Carer Support National Program and Events Team, and facilitating groups and carers clinics. A strengths-based approach will guide your work, ensuring that family carers are empowered to achieve their goals.
To succeed in this role, you will require:
* A QQI Level 7 qualification or higher in Social Care, Community Development, Psychology, Train the Trainer, Guidance, Counselling, Education, or Social Work.
* Previous experience providing support to families in a community-based setting.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to prioritize tasks and work within a dynamic environment.
* Strong IT skills, including MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, CRMs, Finance, and HR reporting systems.
* Experience using virtual technologies such as Zoom, Teams, and video conferencing platforms.
* Proven networking skills.
* Strong people management and facilitation skills.
