R&D Technical Lead
The Role:
This is a leadership position within our technical team, responsible for guiding and managing the development of R&D tax relief claims.
You will lead meetings with engineering and financial stakeholders to examine client operations and processes, capturing, qualifying, and drafting activities and costs relevant to R&D incentives.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage the technical delivery team to develop methodologies and prepare R&D tax relief claims.
* Conduct meetings with engineering and financial client stakeholders to examine client operations and processes.
* Capture, qualify, and draft activities and costs relevant to R&D incentives.
* Oversee project management to ensure service delivery aligns with client expectations.
* Coach and develop junior staff members, demonstrating best practices in client relationships and service quality.
* Identify and pursue new business development opportunities with both new and existing clients.
* Lead discussions and audits with regulatory bodies regarding R&D claims.
We are seeking an experienced professional with a strong understanding of R&D tax legislation and its application to STEM activities. Industry experience in STEM and the ability to rapidly grasp new technical concepts are essential.
Requirements:
1. Honours/Post Graduate Degree in a STEM-related discipline is highly desirable.
2. Detailed working knowledge of the R&D tax legislation and its application to STEM activities.
3. Industry experience in STEM and the ability to rapidly grasp new technical concepts.
4. Understanding of key tax/costing concepts relevant to R&D claim preparation.
5. Proven project and staff management skills, with the ability to manage your own workload and delegate to others.
6. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to lead technical discussions and explain complex legislative concepts to stakeholders unfamiliar with R&D tax definitions.
7. Ability to produce high-quality, professional documentation and reports for senior stakeholders.
