Tirlán is offering a unique opportunity for a graduate to join our EH&S team as an EH&S Associate.
This role will be onsite.
Located in our Ballyragget facility in Co.Kilkenny, this role reports to the EH&S Manager
Responsibilities
Safety is our no.1 priority.
You'll learn to put safety first.
You'll gain experience in best practice application of safe systems in a busy production environment.
Environmental and Sustainability – Caring for our environment is part of our everyday in Tirlán.
Working with our Utilities Team you will learn how environmental care and sustainability work in a large production environment.
Problem solving and continuous improvement: Work as part of a broader EHS team and utilise team-based problem solving employing lean / 6 sigma techniques through the Business Excellence platform.
The tools, techniques, culture and 'can do' approach will be a defining feature of your programme.
EHS Management: You will support the EHS policies and procedures across the site and be a proactive EHS presence in the plant and production environment.
Assist with conduction risk assessments and work with the production teams to ensure actions are followed up from an EHS perspective.
Communicate safety alerts and training to all site employees.
Report on EHS metrics and be involved in audits or inspections from external organisations such as EPA, Department of Agriculture and customers.
Work with the wider EHS team to ensure compliance with environmental licenses.
Requirements
High academic record to date in Environmental, Health & Safety or related discipline; expected minimum of a 2.2 honours primary degree
Ambition to progress successfully in a career in operations and production in an exciting, ever-changing and challenging environment
Thinks commercially and delivers customer-centric solutions
Drives collaboration and builds partnerships to meet shared objectives
Communicates clearly and can influence at all levels
Demonstrates a thirst for knowledge with a desire to continually learn and grow
Analytically minded with the ability to develop creative insights and execute change
