Department Manager – Premium Fashion
Our client, one of Dublin city centre's most iconic and prestigious retail department stores, is seeking an experienced and dynamic Department Manager to join their leadership team. Renowned for offering an exceptional range of premium and high-end brands across fashion, home, and cosmetics, this is an outstanding opportunity for a passionate and driven retail professional.
As Department Manager, you will play a pivotal role in leading and inspiring a team of brand managers, concession managers, and sales colleagues to consistently deliver an exceptional customer experience. You will be responsible for driving performance, upholding visual and operational excellence, and fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence across your department.
Key responsibilities:
1. Clearly communicate weekly and monthly sales targets to all relevant departments and managers, ensuring alignment with business goals.
2. Consistently uphold and execute high commercial and operational standards in line with the overall company strategy.
3. Actively monitor product performance and implement strategic sales initiatives to meet and exceed key performance indicators.
4. Foster an open and inclusive environment where team members feel empowered to share feedback, address challenges and contribute ideas.
5. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of promotional campaigns and effectively drive sales, brand standards, and customer engagement.
6. Collaborate closely with the buying and senior leadership teams to analyse product performance and contribute to merchandise planning and success.
7. Take initiative in identifying new business opportunities by leveraging floor space, optimising visual merchandising, enhancing product placement.
Qualifications and skills required:
8. 3+ years of experience in fashion retail management, ideally within a premium or high-street environment
9. Proven leadership skills with a strong track record in people management, team development, and motivation
10. Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities, with a confident and collaborative style
11. Commercially focused, with hands-on experience in P&L management and a strong understanding of KPI-driven performance
12. A genuine passion for fashion, with an enthusiasm for retail trends, brand engagement, and delivering an elevated customer experience
