What is the Role:
Finance is seeking an enthusiastic data analyst to join its Capital Management and Financial Modelling Team. The role provides an excellent opportunity for the successful applicant as it provides great experience working on key strategic Group priorities including Risk Based Pricing, IFRS9 and IRB modelling, and Capital Management.
This role reports into the Head of Capital Planning, RWA and RAROC, and the successful applicant is expected to play a leading role in managing risk-based loan pricing.
Key accountabilities;
* Ensuring accurate pricing tools available for the business - owning complex excel, code and procedures relating to RAROC while also understanding the businesses and products under consideration.
* Optimising synergies between model outputs, regulatory reporting and RAROC - RAROC is a key performance measure bringing together outputs from IRB models, IFRS9 models and also other inputs such as Funds Transfer Pricings and operating costs
* Communicating complex analysis to stakeholders clearly, simply, and concisely to enable a focus on enhanced performance, e.g., reducing risk weighting of assets.
* Managing colleagues to run BAU processes while working on optimisation solutions, updates, and business queries.
* Collaborating with team members and other departments across the bank to share knowledge on RWA/capital planning, product pricing, and projects.
What you Will Bring:
* Minimum 3 years' experience in Financial Services.
* 3rd level qualification (Bachelor's degree or equivalent), preferably in a quantitative analytical discipline or finance-related discipline.
* An analytical mindset with the ability to extract key messages/insights from financial and management reports or data.
* Commercial awareness and a broad interest in financial markets and economic trends.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills (including Microsoft Office, Excel, and PowerPoint) with the ability to communicate key messages concisely to senior audiences.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with attention to detail and the ability to complete tasks to a high standard within deadlines.
Background in capital management, financial reporting, stress testing, or data analysis would be advantageous but is not mandatory.
