Keohane Seafoods is recruiting for a Quality & Technical Manager to join our Growing Team.ResponsibilitiesEnsure that the Quality Assurance department is properly organized, staffed and trained to meet and achieve Plant & Departmental GoalsServe as an advocate of our food safety cultureMaintain, improve, and develop systems to support the company’s food safety ProgramsEnsure compliance with Irish and EU regulationsResponsible for internal audits and assist in corrective actions when necessaryWork with Production/Sales/Innovation Departments to manage supplier quality and complianceMonitor industry and regulatory updates, trends, and news to keep the company informed and ahead of the curveBe responsible for implementing and maintaining technical standards across the siteBe the lead for the technical function during customer audits and technical visitsExperience in troubleshooting and identifying appropriate new technologiesManaging and motivating a teamQualificationsMust have a qualification in a scientific discipline3 years plus experience in a similar roleExperience in FMGS and Leading a TeamUnderstanding of food processingKnowledge of IFS, OrganicDemonstrate a “can do” attitudeHACCP certified and strong HACCP and regulatory skillsThe above list is not exhaustive.
